What are we ready to sacrifice for the sense of security?

Some life challenges can serve us for breaking our own boundaries, they can be places for overcoming some old patterns of thinking, behavior, beleives…

This topic is always ticklish, because there is no one out there who can tell us is this jump into the unknown and unexplored, good and desirable for us ie. how much benefit it brings us, or maybe disadvantages. Unfortunately, or fortunately, this is what everyone has to find out for themselves.

The comfort zone, we all often like to stay in, is a double edged sword. On the one hand, it seems seductive because it provides comfort and a sense of security cause we’re staying in the known, and on the other hand, it keeps us in the same place ie. it does not give us the opportunity for grow and development.

From my own experience I can tell you that forcing things isn’t gonna get us where we want to be and when it comes to this topic, my opinion is the same.

Today there is a lot of talking about getting out of your safe zone,or rather your comfort zone, but on the other hand, there are no guidelines for doing this.

Just as no human is the same, the way and the pace of breaking our own borders are also going to be diffrent. That is what is beautiful. I believe that it is all part of our journey, a path that does not have a specific goal and has no end. This is something that always comforts me when I start to think that I am late for something, that I have not achieved something yet, and when I “neurotically” think that things should come up the way I want them to be.

Our whole life is made up of the opposites, the good and the bad, the tides, night and day…that is how we all function. So, in that sense, it is nice to stay in a place of security and soak up that nourishing energy that we felt as little babies in the arms of our parents, but than again it is nice to jump out into the unknown (knowing our limits), to experience that adrenaline rush and fear and look into the eyes (for the thousandth time) of our greatest enemy, called fear, so we can see that, in fact, we had nothing to fear. While breaking the ilusion we feel powerful, strong ….Until the next time when we would curl up in our comfort zone again and wait for the storm to pass.

After all we are just human beings:)

The only thing that is constant is change.

Don’t be hard on yourself. Accept all your life stages as part of your journey.

Until next time… be gentle with yourself and others. Don’t judge, accept.

The change lies in acceptance 😊

Emotions are an integral part of our life, our body … They are part of our “emotional body”, the more subtle parts of our being that are not visible to the eye. Although we do not see them, we cannot deny their existence. In this sense, they are real and are an integral part of our being, just like our physical body.

This can be best exemplified by each of us in the moments when they occur … Sometimes these feelings are so intense that they seem to overwhelm us. That is why I am writing this text to clarify what emotions are and how we should look at them and release them.

Emotions are vibrations that occur in our body with certain events, or a way of thinking … Most people think that there are negative and positive emotions, but it is this “understanding” of emotions that puts people in a state of suffering. Every emotion is ok. And every emotion is fleeting. That’s the quality of emotions. What scares us when we are feeling a particular emotion is our judging, the way we look at it- we consider it good or bad. We start to think about emotions. And emotions are just something that we can only experience with the body (the emotional body), and not with the mind, so we should keep in mind that every time an emotion arises, we should put the mind aside. It is the mind that likes to divide things: the good and the bad,the mind always condemns, criticize …

All emotions are ok, ie. all emotions serve to some purpose and are equally important. If we do not release our emotions, if we do not acknowledge them, ie. we suppress them, they will find a way to manifest themselves, because the energy cannot be destroyed. In the long run suppressing and not acknowledging one’s own emotions leads to illness. So, contrary to our fears that a certain intense emotion will lead us into a state of illness, suppressing the same can bring us that.

What may often confuse us is the appearance of certain emotions outside the logical context, but this is precisely what confirms to us that emotion cannot be destroyed and disappeared. It must be manifested eventually. That is why at times when everything seems to be good, calm … there are some emotions that we cannot relate to a given situation. This is because we didn’t release them when we needed to.

Emotions are like water-they flow through our body. When emotions arise we should notice them and allow them to be. Just like the water they will be there some time and then leave, flow…If we do not allow them to be, then they will stay in us and look for a way to manifest themselves. But then they will resemble on stagnant water, and sometimes it can be stinky water. Therefore, we should treat ourselves and our emotions carefully and respect every aspect of our being equally without fear, labeling, and condemnation.

Skin is the largest organ in body and it needs all the nutrients as other organs, which we get from food.

One such food is corn flour.

It provides the skin with the necessary oil, deeply nourishes it, skin looks and feel refreshed.

Corn flour can be used as facial and body scrub due to its abrasive structure.

Exfoliation: The procedure is very simple. Mix 1-2 tsp flour with water and rub it gently into the skin to remove dead skin cells from the outer layer. The mixture can be left on the face and body for about 10 minutes, so that the skin absorbs all the nutrients of the corn flour. This exfoliation is better for oily skin type, and if your skin is more dry then you can add some olive oil to the corn flour.

Also, you can prepare a facial mask with corn flour.

Mask: Mix 2 tsp of corn flour with a little milk (2-3 tablespoons) and a spoon of honey, to get a thick mixture and apply it on the face. Leave the mask for about 15 minutes and wash it with lukewarm water.

Have you noticed that every time you feel good, some would say when you are in the present moment (that’s the moment when we feel that everything is good just as it is and when that feeling fills us, it inspires us…) it’s you, this is your true essence.

Feelings are given to us for this reason, as a guide that easily leads us and that shows us whether we are on the right path.

Every time we feel bad (whatever that feeling is- sorrow, anger, guilt …) our body gives us a sign that we are doing something against ourselves, against our very essence. And our soul is what we truly are, that is our essence.

So emotions are given to us as a wonderful guideline that directs us. Knowing that, we should be able to easier get rid of the burden that they carry with them. For this reason, many people tend to always feel good because our soul calls us to that. What is certain is that we can not know what is good, if we do not know what is bad.

In this world everything is made up of opposites, and in time we learned to look at things through the negative and positive eyeglasses and based on the emotions that we have regarding some events, people, things … we judge them as good or bad. That is why we have defensive attitude toward something that is “negative” or approving attitude if something is “good”.

And what if we look at the negative things favorably, as a gift given to us so we can see more quickly what are we doing wrong? With this knowledge, I hope, you can easily overcome certain life crises.

So whenever we feel bad, it is the soul’s call that tells us that we are not doing something right. What aren’t we doing right is everyone’s duty to discover for themselves.

The moment when we discover it and when we reject these negative programs, we begin to feel better and this is a sign that we are on the right track.

Our true essence is to feel good, or to feel peace. For that reason, be grateful for all the negative emotions that come to you at some point, they are there to help you to see that you are doing something wrong and that you should go back to your true self.

The key is in expressing gratitude for everything and accepting things as they are , because everything has been given to us for our greatest good, no matter how „bad“ it looks like.

When we start to look at life like this, it will be much easier to go through various life challenges.

The change may not come quickly, but if you are in a sense of gratitude for everything, including some less pleasant things, that feeling of discomfort can be transformed into its own opposite, which is a clear sign that you are on the right track. It is the path of love, the path of the soul, the path of the heart, the path of acceptance ….

We often say that it is very important to be authentic, but we do not know exactly what this term implies. I think this term is very important in creating a mature person, in the process of individuation. Being authentic means throwing away everything that isn’t yours.

It sounds simple but most of us aren’t even aware of the extent to which we are shaped, molded, conditioned, until we get on that path.

Ever since the birth, children and later grown ups fit into certain social norms, codes of conduct, „right behavior“. In the beginning, it is transmitted by messages received from parents, guardians, and later we try to be part of the “system”. By fitting to all those standards, that are already set, we lose on our authenticity, we are losing ourselves and we slowly start to realise that we do not live our essence, that we are far away from what we truly are. Then starts the search for ourself and for our true nature.

Removing these masks and armors we puted on ourselves, removing all those expectations that we have from ourselves because of the expectations that others have had towards us, removing boundaries and ilusions- this should be our guiding star on this path which lead us to freedom.

This is not an easy road, but all valuable things comes through less beautiful things. It will bring us big changes-the demolition of the illusions about the world that surrounds us, which we have cherish for a lifetime, but that is the path that we must pass. It’s like tearing apart the skin of our body.

It can be painful, but what we’re about to find is a reward for all the pain we’ve been through – the beauty of authenticity, peace with ourself.

We are what we eat. Food is information. If our body gets the information that it can’t understand it would be confused.

We are all nature beings, derived from it, as part of a common source. Human is born as a part of nature and nature has tailored everything according to its measures, as it did with other living beings.

The whole planet which consists of animals and plants is also the perfect work of nature. The moment when human began to change his environment, he began to change himself.

It is completely clear that food that enters our body defines us at every level of existence: physical, mental, energetic … This perfect system will begin to break down in an effort to “understand” the information it received. It’s like we pump diesel fuel in a car that uses gasoline.

We need to see that as individuals we are obliged to take care of ourselves in this way. If our goal is to remain organic beings-nature’s beings, we must understand the necessity of turning to organic-natural sources of food.

Lately, there is a lot of taboo about fruit as food that is full of sugar, so it is automatically puted in a same line with all other sugar-containing products (refined sugar).

Unlike fruit sugar, refined sugar contains nothing but glucose and fructose in equal proportions, while fruit sugar contain a bunch of other nutrients and fibers.

Free sugars do not make us full, they are quickly digested and they immediately enter the bloodstream and raise the level of insulin very quickly.

Fruit contains a large amount of antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals, and above all fibers. These fibers are the ones that influence the speed of food digestion, in this case sugar. They slow down the process of digestion of sugar from fruit and considerably reduce the sudden blood sugar spike that occurs when refined sugar is digested.

The author of the books “Medical Medium”, “Life changing foods”, “Thyroid healing ” …, Anthony Williams, speaks of the importance of using fruit in everyday diet. Namely, this author, who is New York Times bestseller, says that fruit should be part of our daily diet, especially if we have certain problems that we would like to solve. The books he has written breaks up numerous taboos and tells of the growing fear of fruit, which is perfidily served to us and that we should become aware of what extent is regular fruit nutrition important for maintaining our health.

Namely, fruit has significant antibacterial and antiviral effects, it also affects the aging retardation of organism. Sugar moves each of our cells in the body, especially the brain cells, and therefore it is important to import it, but of course we should always choose right type of sugar, that comes from fruit.

Many of the benefits are provided by fruit nutrition, and therefore fruit should become our daily ally in the maintenance of health or the treatment of undesirable conditions.

A recommendation for everyone, certanly, is to choose among those fruit that we know how it’s grown. It would be ideal if it’s organic or from a known farmer, in order to enter our body as purely as possible.

There are numerous techniques that help the expansion of our soul and help us reach our essence, so we can find out who we really are.
Ho’oponopono is one of these techniques and it comes from Hawaii. Its meaning is to “do the right” or “correct the mistake” and that is exactly what we achieve by practicing this technique.

When the book “Zero Borders,” by Dr. Joe Vitale and Dr. Ihaleakal Hew Len was published, this technique spread to the world. In 2004., Joe heard of an unusual psychologist who healed the whole department of the Prison Psychiatric Hospital in Hawaii, although he never held a single session with the patient face to face. Joe looked for an unusual psychotherapist.

Dr. Hew Len cured the patients using the ancient Hawaiian technique Ho’oponopono. Dr. Len worked for three years at the Hawaii State Hospital, at the Department of Psychiatric ill criminals. The perpetrators of the most serious crimes – murder and rape were placed there. Psychologist would left the hospital after a month of work and most of the staff were on frequent sick leaves, and eventually they would left too.The employees in the department feared of the attack by patients. The situation on the department was worrying. Only a few months after Dr. Len came to the hospital, the heaviest patients who were in the chains were allowed to walk freely, and others who were under heavy sedatives decreased the dose of medication. Some of the patients who were thought never to be released were released! In addition, the staff began to enjoy working at the department, so the absence of employees and sick leaves decreased. After more than three years, this department was closed!

The essence is to see our responsibility in the “problems” that we encounter, therefore we realize that we are not guilty of “the problems” that are happening to us and if we want to solve them, in a way that they do not appear any more , we must accept a full responsibility for them.

This technique begins by saying this 4 words: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, thank you. As we say this, we turn to God, the Universe, the Creator of everything that is, Infinite Intelligence (call it whatever name you want), and we take responsibility for a certain “unpleasant” event, in the way that we become aware that everything that is happening outside is just a projection of what is in us.

As we speak, I’m sorry, we are slowly becoming aware that we are sorry for not knowing to do something better at that moment, that would prevent us from entering this unpleasant situation. By saying the word-Forgive me we ask that higher power ( infinite intelligence) to forgive us for our misunderstanding of that situation at that time. While we say-I love you, we feel as if we slowly unite with the divine energy, and this pleasant inner feeling already creates feeling that everything is good just as it is. By pronouncing the word-Thank you, which express gratitude for everything that is happening on our way of geting to know ourselves, including those events that our mind label as negative, we become aware that this is all part of our experience through which we learn and grow and we thank the higher intelligence that gives us precisely what we need, although with the mind observed it doesn’t look like that.

When you begin with this technique, this repetition of this 4 words can be just like saying some song that you learn by heart. Maybe you won’t feel anything happening inside you in the begining, but just be persistent and see how things in front of your eyes change and how life gets a deeper meaning.

Yoga has entered my life long time ago and now after many years of regular yoga practice, and finishing the training course for yoga I can say that it has become an integral part of my life. It is something like my daily hygiene and practicing it I manage to provide for myself a sufficient amount of physical activity, as well as daily work on myself.
Now after so many years of practicing yoga, I can not imagine my life without it. Yoga has become my inner need, something that always brings me back to the right path, which keeps me balanced and facilitates my daily functioning.

Family life-life with children can be very dynamic and all those everyday interactions can take away a lot of energy. Family life is something that fills us on one side, “charging our batteries” and gives us a motive for everyday tasks and long-term goals, but it also often leaves us tired and exhausted, which, I suppose, many moms will agree. Just right there, in those moments in my life yoga enters the scene. Those are the moments when I can be in contact with myself, with the person I least meet during the day.

Through yoga, I get in touch with my body. On that mat I ask myself how I am and what I need, is there something I do wrong and how much I deviate from my authenticity. I listen to the messages of the body and I learn to accept myself.

This is what for me means love for myself. One pause during the day when you will come into contact with yourself, which will allow you to listen to your needs and treat yourself carefully, gently and conscientiously, as a parent treat the child, can bring you peace which is necessary for the continuation of the day and smooth functioning.

I think it is our duty to discover for ourselves what is that thing that brings us peace and fulfillment, and also what brings us back on the right path, because only in this way we can be functional and good for ourselves, and for everyone else too.

I wish you all to discover your practice through which you come to the love for yourself.

Nowadays, there are more and more obese people, and consequently more and more sick people. Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and many other diseases are commonly associated with obesity.

There are many studies today that proves that much more obesity is among the poor, than among those with a higher standard.

Although it sounds paradoxical that’s the fact. There is more and more processed food, cheap food and the one that is easy to prepare, which does not contain enough nutrients, but just “empty” calories.

Malnutrition is todays major problem and goes hand in hand with obesity. There is a large number of malnourished and obese children, as well as children who are lagging behind in development. So enough food today is not insurance from malnutrition.

It’s about insufficient intake of quality and nutritious ingredients.

There was a study conducted in Britain, where the researchers compared four studies done among British children born in 1946, 1958, 1970 and 2001, to see how weight, height, and BMI (body mass index) were changed among children in different decades.

They analyzed the figures according to social standards to see how the changes in weight and height were affecting children from different social milieu.

What was indicative is that children from lower socio-economic classes, born in 1946, had lower average weight, while children from these same classes, born in 2001, had a higher average weight.

This can be changed with increased awareness of the choice of food we consume.

Organic food is a food rich in micro and macro nutrients. These biogenic elements plants get from the soil. Soil should be rich in these nutrients, so that the plant itself would have the same qualities later on.

In conventional agriculture, by treating soil with artificial fertilizer, we risk that the plant does not get enough essential elements, which causes various physiological disorders in plant metabolism.

We therefore strive to raise awareness of how much the selection of food in everyday nutrition is important for the preservation of our health, and consequently the health of whole planet.

The soil that is not treated with artificial fertilizer, the plants that are not sprayed with pesticides and other chemical products will provide us healthy soil that is suitable for growing healthy, nutritious food, and the consumption of such food will positively affect our health.
