Barley is rich in vitamins and minerals. It contains niacin (vitamin B3), thiamine (vitamin B1), selenium, iron, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus and copper. It is an excellent source of dietary fibers. Scientists have found that one type of soluble fiber- beta glucan, is the main barley component responsible for cholesterol decreasing. It contains phytochemicals that are responsible for reducing the risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, as well as antioxidants that are important for the preservation of health. Barley flour is a good ally in cases of atherosclerosis, hypertension, heart disease, anemia, gastrointestinal disorders.

-pinch of salt

-2 spoons of sugar

-1 egg

-cup of milk

-30 gr. of butter

-sun flower oil

Mix the flour, salt, sugar, egg, butter and milk. Scoop the dough and fry it in a hot and deep oil. Serve warm with a jam.
